I haven't taken nearly as many pictures with baby number two---or even put in the effort into getting decent ones. It's too bad because I'm definitely carrying little Lucas differently than Olivia. Most of the weight gain has stayed in my belly area and I've even been able to wear my pre-pregnancy jeans with the help of a belly band which was an impossibility at even 5 months pregnant with Olivia.
Here's a pic of me over the weekend in my basic, comfy go-to H&M Mama maternity gear, white tee with puffy sleeves and black stretch pants.
I try to correct my posture and not waddle but can you see how my back hurts constantly? C'mon March 30th--4 weeks, 6 days!

Week 28 Baby Bump: Smuggling a Basketball...
Check out my Spalding...

My baby bump has really taken off over the past 2 weeks and I certainly have the weight gain and (the much dreaded) partial "outie" belly button now to prove it. Yikes!
To date I've gained something like 23 lbs!! I try not to think about it too much. I just hope breastfeeding lives up to its hype in the weight loss department.
*A special congrats to fellow (now former) preggo, Jamie who welcomed beautiful 6 lb and 9 oz baby boy "Deuce" into the world today. Yay!

From Bump To Belly...
The last time I posted a belly pic I was 16 weeks. Here's how I looked today at 24 weeks...

I had a very productive weekend. The bedroom that will soon belong to the au pair got some new art. A fellow blogger and friend inspired me to clean out my pre-pregnancy clothes, and that of course that led to more shopping.
I found this cute ruffled top and ruffled skirt bottom maternity tankini, and was pleasantly surprised at how flattering it is. Charm City Daddy hasn't seen it yet but has called for "final approval." If it were up to him I'd be swimming in t-shirts and shorts. No thanks. I don't care if I'm a whale I don't want or need anything weighing me down in my only chance to feel weightless in water.
Although I kept busy, I did have a relaxing prenatal massage this weekend--my third in the second trimester. It was so relaxing and great for the leg cramps!

Belly Envy...
I have belly envy.
Look at Halle--now THAT's how you wear a baby! What was she 5-6 months?

I know it's early and I will have plenty of months ahead of me where I will be huge and uncomfortable, but I can't help it. I want Halle's belly--and then I want it to stop right there. lol.
That is terrible to say, but it is honest.
My belly envy is especially bad when I go to the doctor's office and all of the other little expectants look as though they have full command of this whole pregnancy thing.
Also, I kind of don't want to have to explain to people that I'm not just fat and gaining weight--but that there's a baby growing in there!
Big baby bumps help people understand why I'm passing up wine at work functions, asking for decaf coffee, and yawning every 20 minutes.
However, I do have to say that while I want a belly, I am NOT looking forward to wearing maternity clothes--particularly because my first job at Macy's (age 16) was in the maternity department!
Ok, I'm done.
